Tim Maile

Picture

Tim Maile has been a paranormal investigator for the last nine years.
His paranormal quest began when he purchased a home in Oshkosh, WI in October 2006. Unbeknownst to him, this would lead him down a completely different path for his life than he had originally planned. Within weeks of buying and moving into his new home, Tim began experiencing paranormal activity in his home. Having never dealt with any type of paranormal activity it had him concerned.
In order to obtain answers for the things he was experiencing Tim began researching the paranormal.  While researching, he came across several paranormal television shows that helped explain the things occurring in his home. After watching the programs, Tim decided to reach out to several investigation teams in his local area. His hope was to get some answers and better understand the activity and how it applied to what was occurring in his home. To his surprise, not one of the local investigation teams returned his email.  It was at that time that Tim decided to educate himself on the subject.
Over a year later and much more comfortable with the paranormal, Tim decided that he would try to help others who were having the same issues that he had.  That was when Tim decided to help found Fox Cities Paranormal Team in January of 2008.
In the last nine years, some amazing things have happened and Tim has had the good fortune to meet many great people in this field. It was an invite to the 2009 Ohio Paranormal Convention that provided Tim with the confidence that he and his team were doing a good thing. He listened and learned from some of the most respected people in the field that weekend and came home with a sense of purpose. Through that one weekend, many doors have opened up for Tim and the team. Tim has been a part of hosting three paranormal conferences in the area; has been interviewed on numerous radio programs; and also has had the privilege to speak at dozens of paranormal conferences.
The paranormal and speaking events have taken him around the country and even into Canada. He has been fortunate to meet many wonderful people at these events, making new friends and helping others along the way. During his presentations, Tim talks about the Paranormal and beyond. His presentations include some of his most memorable investigations, offer insight into integrity of a paranormal team and why it is so important, and also covers things that are not typical everyday paranormal. Tim discusses his suicide attempt in 2007 and how if his dog Murray had not been there, neither would he be today. Tim broaches this subject not for pity, but to show that anyone can suffer from depression. By Tim sharing his story, he hopes to help just one person in the audience realize that tomorrow will be better.  To him, that is worth talking about the darkest time in his life and how it helped him get where he is today.
The path his life is taking him amazes Tim.  He is further amazed by how far he and his team have come since 2008.  Since then, Tim has led his team on more than 175 residential investigations. In 2013, one of the investigations was featured on Syfy’s Paranormal Witness. The episode was entitled “The Innocent” and was about the most emotional case the team has ever done. It was a series of investigations over the course of two years that would change the team forever and bring peace and closure to a family and a spirit.
Since Tim first began his quest, the tables have turned.  Instead of trying to obtain answers himself, individuals and young paranormal teams who wish to know more about the paranormal are now contacting and reaching out to him.  When contacted, Tim feels it is an honor for him to help them get a better understanding of the paranormal and also help teach them some new techniques. Tim believes that we are all in this field together and we all reflect on one another, so helping younger teams is necessary to advance the field. Most importantly, Tim and his team have had the privilege to help dozens of families throughout Wisconsin. It is Tim’s hope that they, as a group, will be able to help as many people as possible deal with their paranormal experiences. He hopes they can further the field of paranormal studies and help bring answers to the people who really need them.
In October of 2016 Tim published his second book, The Endless Road. This book is a therapeutic journey from Tim’s childhood where he lost his father to an accident, to present day where he travels the country spreading his message about Fox Cities Paranormal Team and helping others deal with their depression and suicidal thoughts.
In addition to all of the investigations, radio appearances, book, and conference speaking engagements, in 2013 Tim created a foundation called Pawtographs for Pooches. The foundation was formed as a legacy for his dear furry friend and the one who saved his life, Murray.  It was also formed to help local animals in need.  At each and every one of Tim’s speaking appearances, he signs 8x10s of himself and his dog Murray, plus sells Pawtographs T-Shirts. The photos are $10 and the T-Shirts are $20.  All proceeds go to an animal shelter in the area of the event! Tim has also started doing Pawtographs exclusive events where he does a lecture based on his life and hosts an investigation to benefit a local shelter. To date Pawtographs has raised over $11,000 for animal shelters around the country!
